- Take a look at what John Saponara wrote......

- I have been trying the same thing i can get the system to come up in read
- write mode, but i still get tonnes of errors from the system about this
- and that and it doesn't mount my /usr partition despite an entry in
- /etc/fstab
-
- try the command line
-
- amiboot-<version_number> -k vmlinux-<version-number>
- /root=/dev/<device-name> rw video=pal,inverse
-
-
- NOTE: the rw, it specifies mount in Read-Write mode.....
- Which i thought would have been the default....if you didnt specify
- Read-Only on the command line. Obviously not...
-
-
- The install guide was rather crap. I had a bit more luck with the older
- kernal, and system archives(which i spent ages tracking down).
-
-
- But the older system doesn't have all the extras that watchtower does....
-
- So I am at a loss until I get my PC and run Linux on their, where they
- actually have install programs....and its all nice and easy, well compare
- to installing Unix on a amiga....
